I was recently invited to a press photo op for the Alvin Ailey Dance Company at Sadler's Wells. They previewed two new pieces Many Angels and Night Creatures. They were very different, Many Angels more intimate with only a handful of dancers and with a much stronger ballet influence contrasting against Night Creatures huge cast and incorporating many dance styles.

Overall they were spectacular, precisely what you would expect from the company's reputation.
